BEN BUTLER
Bens' been riding for two years. He started with an RM250 2 stroke and has now progressed to a 2005 RMZ250. Along with Shane, he races for the Ely club and is a top ten finisher. His favourite track is Wildtrax where he's quite happy to slide about on slick tyres.
TERRY PITFIELD
Terry started off on a 2002 YZF250 but progressed to a 2005 RMZ250 and now a KTM 250 He can usually be heard saying something like "I don't think I'll ride today - I was out late last night" before he sets off on a ride. He's pretty quick and gives Ben a good run for his money. When he's not on the track, he can usually be found deep in a box of cheese sarnies or at the burger wagon. His favourite track is Eastrax due to the great air time but the Dog and Duck comes a close second.
KEVIN STALLIBRASS
Kevin's on a 'relive my youth' kick. He raced from the age of 25, mainly in the Gulf states . He started riding again just over 2 years ago and at 50 really should know better. Suffering a broken back at Washbrook in 2004, he now has a good excuse for being the slowest rider in the group but occasionally surprises everyone on a good day, especially on a track with big jumps. His current 2004 RMZ250 fulfils a boyhood dream for a small thumper. Favourite tracks are Eastrax and Wildtrax due to the jumps. Kevin also runs this web site and takes the photos.
MICK PITFIELD
Mick, Terry's father, is the real stalwart of the team. He supplies the van, tent, power washer and generally makes the pits more professional than we really are. He now rides an RMZ 250 after reluctantly replacing his Yamaha 425. He also likes to ride Nick's quad when the going gets a little slippery Favourite track is the one he's riding today
NICK
Nick cheats. He's got 4 wheels! The only quad in the team and the first of the team to enter a proper race. Runs a well modified Honda 450 that has a government health warning attached. Favourite tracks are wide with deep sandy corners to play in
SHANE JACKSON Shane's the newest member of the team and rides a Suzuki 450 thumper. He races for the Ely club and is usually up near the front. (he's just been bumped up to the seniors). Always good for a laugh in the paddock, his bike is sponsored by S.J .Services so he must be really fast on the track ... hang on, - SJ? That makes it your own business Shane so it doesn't count! |
